I love branding as much as I love delicious smoked meats, so when I got the call to create the Backdraft BBQ identity I was drooling at the opportunity. This was a soup-to-nuts exercise for me, developing a look and feel that not only communicated the brand’s offerings, but the people behind the plates. Backdraft BBQ was started by two firefighters who know a thing or two about smoke and heat and so decided to go full “boar” into putting their skills to work.

The Backdraft BBQ kit included a logo set, typefaces and color palettes that brought their website, social, merch, and MASSIVE trailer to life. I almost considered letting them pay me in ribs. Almost.
